Orville Lee Houghton was born August 3, 1948 to C.M. Houghton and Ruth (Whitley) Houghton in Stamford, TX.

Orville was a veteran of the US Army and bravely fought in Viet Nam as a helicopter gunner.

He married Deborah Stephens July 4, 1978 in Oklahoma.

Orville was retired; he worked most of his life as a truck driver.

Orville loved cars, the older the better. He loved working on them and restoring them. His current project was restoring a 1940 Plymouth.

Orville also loved being outdoors and really enjoyed fishing and camping.

Orville was a loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and friend.

He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

Orville is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Randall Houghton.

Orville is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Houghton; his children Brian Houghton and Lora Burns; grandchildren Phoenix Houghton, Ryle Houghton, Addison Houghton, Marshall Burns, and Thomas Houghton; a son, Tim Houghton; a daughter, Tiffany Houghton; his sister, Yvonne Estes and husband David; and nephews Chris Estes and Steven Estes.

She was born in, and lived her life in Akron. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, had 14 years of volunteer service at Akron City

Hospital, and worked in election booths for the Summit County Board of

Elections.

She is survived by husband, Ernest John Houghton Jr; sons and daughters-

in-law, Ernest John III and Joanne of Rochester Hills, Mich., W. B. (Chip)

and Linda of Fairlawn; daughter, Jill Hile of South Bend, Ind; and six

grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church FriDAY, at 12:30 p.m., Dr. Gabe L. Campbell officiating. Interment Glendale Cemetery.

There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to

ODESSA Paul George Houghton, age 63, entered into rest in the arms of our Lord, surrounded by those who loved him deeply, on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the family home in Odessa. He was born in Hamlin, TX on February 1, 1948 to the late Ernest Houghton and Martha (Braggs) Houghton. Paul married the love of his life, Rita Elaine Barron, at the Foursquare Church in Odessa on November 27, 1965. He was a machinist and had worked for several years for Meither Machine. Paul and Rita worshiped at Grace Fellowship Church.

Paul was the epitome of a family man. Family was everything to him. He loved without condition and instilled that same love, compassion, and respect for one another in his family. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Paul was welcomed into Heaven by his daughter-in-law, Billie Houghton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years: Rita Houghton and five children: David Houghton, Melissa Johnson and husband Dwayne, Kerris Flowers and husband Warren, Ernest Houghton and wife Myna and Martha McDougle, all of Odessa; three sisters: Ann Croom of Odessa, Thelma Dunfee of Roswell, NM and Velma Nichols of Portales, NM; one brother: Lee Houghton of Orange; twelve grandchildren: Melissa Nicole Johnson, Timothy Paul Houghton, Katyn Elizabeth Armstrong, Joshua Dwayne Johnson, Lainey Bre-Anne McDougle, Ryan Wayne Houghton, Billy Landon Blake McDougle, Matthew Tate Houghton, Caleb Aaron Johnson, Kelsey Makaylee Houghton, Warren Dale Flowers III "Trey," Marisa Brooke Fierro, all of Odessa; two honorary grandchildren: Jordan Elizabeth Carvajal and Andrew Oscar Carvajal, both of Conroe, TX; one great-grandchild: Evan Daniel Sandoval and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Acres West Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2012, Pastor Robert Lamb, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com.

Paula Ann Houghton
Paula Ann Houghton, age 52, of Hyattsville, Maryland, passed away Monday in an Austin hospital. Miss Houghton was born in Godley, Texas, in 1934, moved to Austin in 1940, and graduated from Texas School of the Deaf in 1952. She attend- ed Nixon-Clay College, and worked for the City of Austin for 15 years in the Water and Light Department. She moved to Maryland in 1972, and was employed by the Library of Congress. Miss Houghton was a member of Congress Avenue Baptist Church, and had been in an Austin hospital since Octo- ber, 1986. She was preceded In death by her father, Paul Houghton, In 1982 and her brother, Terry Paul Houghton, in 1963. Survivors include, Pauline (Polly) Houghton; nieces, Deborah Lynn Houghton and Beth Ann Houghton, all of Austin.

He preceded her in death June 12, 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Irving. Survivors include her son Randy Houghton of Denton; daughter, Pamela Ronck and husband Keith of Southlake; two grandchildren, Brian Davisson and wife Aneela of New York City, Stephanie Horine and husband Brian of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Matthew Ronck and wife Laura of Minneapolis, MN and Jessica Ronck Ritchie and husband Sean of Austin; three great grandchildren Landry Syler, Parker Syler and Olivia Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews.

Obituary

A funeral service for Ronnie Houghton, age 73, of New Summerfield, is scheduled at 10 o’clock in the morning Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Dr. Edwin Crank officiating. He will be laid to rest at New Emmaus Cemetery in New Summerfield.

Mr. Houghton passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Troup.

Ronnie was born July 23, 1943 to Boyd and Erma (Brown) Houghton.

He served in the US Army from 1966-1968 then worked for Texas Comptroller from 1968-1975. He helped open the Cherokee Savings in 1975 then worked in the banking industry in the Dallas area until he moved back to East Texas 2002. He received a BBA degree from Stephen F. Austin and retired as Vice President of Franklin Bank.
Ronnie was a member of the Lions Club, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and a board member of New Emmaus Cemetery Association. He loved coaching kids in baseball and other sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Deenan Houghton of Troup; sons, Keven Houghton and wife Kerry of Royse City, Todd Houghton and wife Cindy of New Summerfield. There are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Huddleston, Trenton Houghton, Jay Hartley, Ricky Jones, Chris Foley, Terry Kendall and honorary pallbearers Ethan Houghton and Dylan Houghton.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Roy Callan Houghton, 69 slipped quietly away from this life on September 6, 2010 at his residence.
Service: Roy's wishes were that he be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Memorials: For those who wish to donate in his memory may donate to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, The Humane Society of North Texas or the charity of their choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Vikas Aurora, of Grapevine and The Tender Heart Hospice Care of Fort Worth.
Roy was born on November 5, 1940 in Rotan, Texas to Vivian Pearl Madden and L.C. Houghton. He grew up in Abilene and graduated McMurry College with a B.A. in Business. Roy was never tardy or missed a day of school or work due to illness. He moved to Fort Worth in 1965 finally settling in Euless. Roy worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 18 years and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. After retiring from Goodyear Roy went to work for Moore's Retread and Tire in Irving, where he worked until June of this year. Roy was an avid fan of the The Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching all sports on TV, camping and bowling but his passion was playing Golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents L.C. and Vivian Houghton.
Survivors: His wife of 25 years Rita C. Houghton, Brother Lloyd Houghton and wife Vicki of Irving, Stepson Bobby Rivet and wife Shannon of Euless, Stepdaughter Betty Bearden of Bedford. Grandchildren Justin Bearden, Chaney, Colton and Riley Rivet. Great-grandchildren Amiya, Christian and Jaydan Bearden. Cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous friends and faithful dogs Snuffy and Rudy.

Roy Dale Houghton, an Army veteran and a salesman in an industrial machine shop, died May 4, 2004. He was 63.
