JACKSONVILLE - Mrs. Eula Houghton, 81, of New Summerfield died at her home Friday night following an extended illiness. Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Sunday in the New Emmanus Baptist Church with the Rev, Mr. Pepper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Cherokee County under the direction of Thompson —Elliott Funeral Home.
Mrs. Houghton was a life-long resident of the area. Survivors include two sons. Herman Houghton and Doyle Houghton, both of New Summerfield: one daughter. Mrs. Ima Kennedy of New Summerfield; one brother. W. R. Murphy of New Summerfield: five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
