HOUGHTON, MRS. THELMA (DAVID) passed away November 22, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband David Houghton also her mother and father Mrs. & Mr. C.E. Eaton and sisters Blanche Earp & Mabel Nelson of Sherman, Texas. She was educated in the schools of Cleburne, Sherman High school and College in Sherman. Early in her school years and her marriage she became a club woman. She was always active in school plays and later became President of the Sunshine; Helpful Circle of Kings Daughters and Sons; O.C. Society of Fine Arts; Dallas Federation of Womens Club; First Vice-President of the Caruth Memorial and had charge of all womens activities; Antique Study Club; Lecture Luncheon; President of her Sunday school class; 59; one of the organizers and past president of the Mary Paul Review Club. She was also active in Trinity District and State Federation of Womens Club, Hampton Hill Garden Club. She was a member of long standing in church activities of Rosemont Christian Church and other civic and volunteer activities. She also served on the Advisory Council and later was an employee of Titches. She is survived by many cousins. Graveside services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2004, Laurel Land Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Rosemont Christian Church; Dallas, TX. Dallas Laurel Land 214-371-1336²
