HOUGHTON Nancy Eileen Watts Houghton, age 73, of Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Highbanks Care Center. She was born May 27, 1932 in Columbus to the late Robert S. and Ruth K. Watts. Nancy graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1950 and has been a long-time resident of UA. She attended Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio and The Ohio State University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Harold C. Houghton; devoted children, Robert (Claire R.) Houghton, Laura (Dave) James, David (Sharon R.) Houghton and Karen (Curtis) Weinrich; five grandchildren, Lucas Houghton, Derek Weinrich, Elizabeth James, Zachary Weinrich and Kathryn Weinrich. Nancy was a Leader for 15 years with Girl Scouts of America, Central Ohio Council. She was an avid quilter, naturalist and pet lover. She worshipped at St. Thomas More Newman Center. Nancy will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 West Lane Avenue. Father Larry Rice, CSP, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to Girl Scouts of America, Seal of Ohio Council, 1700 Watermark Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or to CHA- Citizens for Humane Action, 3765 Corporate Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43231.²
