DONEY BELLE HOUGHTON

Doney Belle Houghton, 84, of Austin passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1992, in an Austin hospital.

Service will be at 2 p.m. to-day in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Lockhart, minister of Johnson Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

The family will be receiving visitors at Robert Massie Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today.

Doney was born July 20,1908, to Fred C. and Janie Elizabeth Houghton in San Angelo. She was secretary to the president of First National Bank of San Angelo for 20 years. She also worked in Los Angeles, Calif., as secretary to the vice president of Pepperdine University. She returned to San Angelo and retired in 1974.

Survivors include two nephews, Mike Houghton of San Angelo and Fred Houghton of Georgetown, Texas; two grandnieces, Christy Houghton of San Angelo and Ruth Ann Houghton of Georgetown, Texas; and two great-grandnieces, Rachel and Audrey Rodriquez, both of San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Steve Houghton, in 1992.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Smith, Bill Colby, Pat Patterson, Harold Ensminger, Frank Upp and Bill Harris.
