Michael was a member of the Buckhorn Golf Club for several years; he also enjoyed playing Trivia and Scrabble and was a fan of the Red Sox and the Gators. Michael is survived by his loving family, wife of 43 years, Winona; children, Michael (Debbie), Bruce (Valerie), Jeffery, Mark, Vikki (Sam) and Nancy (Bo); cousins, Charles (Rita), John (Jan) and Bobo (Annette); grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Danielle, Bruce, Jr., Brett, Brandon, Brittany, Brooke, Bradley, Jordan, Nikol, Michelle, Vikki and Kasey; four great-grandchildren; & many friends. BELOIT - Carole V. Houghton, 65, Beloit, died Monday, Aug. 24,1992, at the Long Term Care Unit of the Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit.
Mrs. Houghton was bom Carole V. Smith on Nov. 22,1926, at Tipton and was a lifelong area resident. She and her husband were former publishers of the Beloit Daily Call. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Beloit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan in 1977; and a son, Bruce in 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Hilt of Beloit and Jeanne Mosier of Kenesaw, Neb; her mother, Hilda Smith of Hunter; a sister, Mary Lee Tuttle of Hunter; nine grandchildren; and a great- grandson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Beloit, Pastor Robert Albin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit.
Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church or Long Term Care Unit of the Mitchell County
