MRS. THEODORE HOUGHTON BERNARDSTON, Mass. -Funeral services for Mrs. Esther (Berg) Houghton, 68, wile of Theodore Houghton of Ber-nardston, formerly of Bellows Falls, Vt, were held Wednesday afternoon at Johnson Funeral home in Shelburne. Burial was in Arms Cemetery. Mrs. Houghton died Saturday at Franklin County Public Hospital in Greenfield. She was born to Mandale, Norway, June 21, 1908, daughter of John and Marie ( Oslebo) Berg. She and her husband moved to Bellows Falls from Shelburne Falls in 1949. He was employed by New England Power Company. The couple moved from Bellows Falls to Bernardston to 1974. Mrs. Houghton was a member of the United Church of Bellows Falls. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Theodore Houghton Jr. of Shelburne Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Marie Craig of Riverside, Calif, and Mrs. Mary Jane Peters of Portland, Maine; four brothers, George and Robert Berg of Worcester and Edward and Earl Berg of Anaheim, Calif; and five grandchildren.
