Robert Arthur Houghton, 73, of 1209 Hathaway St., Owensboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Dundas, Ontario, Canada, and retired from the Air Force and from Owensboro Mercy Health System, where he worked in the maintenance department. He enjoyed woodworking and garage sales.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Martine Bradley Houghton; two daughters, Connie Harris and Donna Barbos, both of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Marjorie Duvall of Kitchewtrl, Ontario, Canada; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.¹

Martine Bradley Houghton, 87, formerly of 1209 Hathaway St., Owensboro, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Leisure Years Nursing Home in Owensboro. The Owensboro native had worked at Walgreens Drug Store and was a member of Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church. Her husband, Robert Arthur Houghton, died Jan. 20, 1999.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Ray of Vacaville, Calif., and Helen Winn of Dearborn Heights, Mich; a half sister, Marian Sparks of Owensboro; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today and after noon Friday at the funeral home.¹

Survivors include her husband, Frank W; a daughter, Penny Connors of Las Vegas; a son, Daniel C. of Fort Myers; a brother, T.H. Parliament of Howell, Mich; and two grandchildren.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in St. Mark's Memorial Gardens. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge.
