The following article appeared in the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Star-Phoenix, 5 July 1945 :
Campbell -- Summach
ASQUITH. -- Emmanuel Baptist Church, Saskatoon, was the scene of a pretty wedding when Marietta Doreen Summach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Summach of Delisle, became the bride of George Willard Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Campbell of Dauphin, Man. The Rev. G. Ward of Prince Albert, conducted the marriage service. Miss Edna Stover of Saskatoon presided at the organ. The bride, given in marriage by her brother Lester Summach, looked lovely in a floor length gown of white triple sheer with a filmy net veil and carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses and larkspur. Miss Bernice Johnston of Saskatoon as bridesmaid was gowned in heaven blue sheer. She wore a headdress of blue net and carried a bouquet of snapdragons. Mr. John Wheeler of Mullingar was best man and ushers were Messrs. Manley Summach and Ted Summach. A reception followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Summach. The happy couple left later for a honeymoon trip to Winnipeg, Brandon and other points in Manitoba. For travelling the bride donned a cerise dressmaker suit. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell will reside in Asquith, where the former is pastor of the Baptist Church.4
