He was born between 1 April 1857 and 30 June 1857 at Ludborough, Lincolnshire, England.7,4,6 He was born on 11 July 1858 at Ludborough, Lincolnshire, England.1
William Stephenson White died in 1940.8
William Stephenson White appeared on the 1861 British Census of Ludborough, at Lincolnshire, England, in the household of his parents, Michael and Mary B. White.9,3
The son recorded in the 1861 Census as "William S. White" is William Stephenson White who later became the Mayor of Lincoln City. -- Phil White

William S White -- from memory he is a seed merchant ( I will try and find more details to confirm that). He lived from 1857-1940. He was elected councillor of Lincoln City in 1901, and was Mayor from 1908-1909, and from 1924-1925. I imagine that he lived in Lincoln for some years before being elected but cannot be sure of that. Many others of that generation became shop-keepers, including George Patchett White, and his son John Hobson. William S White was quite unlike any other Whites that I have seen photos of -- chubby with an olive complexion, and a fine moustache. -- Phil White.8

She was found on a passenger list for the "Empress of Australia," a Canadian Pacific liner that departed from Montreal with her mother Theresa dated 19 May 1954. Their stated destination was Motherwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Mom told me that Terry, who was a war bride, was very homesick for Scotland. However, she found that things were not as good in Scotland as they were in Canada, and was happy to return to Asquith.10
The following biographical information is from my (Rick Moffat's) personal knowledge or recollections, 1963:
In about 1963 or 1964 Sheridene rolled a car on a country road returning from a weiner roast at the regional park near Environ. She was thrown from the car and watched as it tumbled towards her. At the last moment a door came open and stopped it from rolling over her. She was taken to a hospital in Saskatoon where they found she had a "broken back." Fortunately it did not result in a severe spinal injury. (Feb 2017 - her daughter Koreen tells me it was a (1st lumbar vertebrae) burst compression fracture.) This weiner roast was one of my first outings on my own with a group of kids from school. I remember Mervin and Terry visiting us to see if I had seen any drinking at the party. I cannot remember whether or not I did, but I know they wanted to suppress any speculation that Sheridene had been drinking. I do not think she had been, but since she was driving her boy friend might have been.

Koreen also added that although her parents had met previously during Cliff's visits to his Aunt Jennie and Uncle Ray Summach's farm, they first "met" when he was the x-ray technologist at City Hospital where Sheridene was taken after the accident. He joked that she couldn't get away from him.11,7
