CHICOPEE - Timothy G. Houghton, 45, of St. James Ave, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born on Dec. 27, 1963, he was the son of the late George and Arleta Houghton. He was raised in W. Spfld and graduated from W. Spfld High School, class of 1984. Tim moved to Chicopee 10 years ago. Tim worked for JNS commissary for 25 years. He loved his work and the people he worked with, and they loved him too. Besides his work, he was a big fan of the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar Racing, he was a big Jeff Gordon fan. Tim enjoyed camping and taking care of his home. Tim will be deeply missed by his brother Herbert Locke of NY., sister Lois Duris and her husband Kerry of FL, sister Deanna Geoffrey and her husband Robert of Chicopee, and a very special cousin, Teresa Dodge of NH. He will also be missed by uncle and aunt Maurice and Ruth Gray of CA and aunt Helen Burlock of VT; along with several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held THURS. 11 AM at TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be held WED. from 4 to 7 PM. Special thanks for the love and support of all the people at Dunkin Donuts. You meant so much. Betty L. Houghton, 78, of Lincoln died at 2:15 a.m. June 27, 2008 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Betty was born in Lawndale, IL on January 17, 1930, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel Boone Jaggers. She married David L. Houghton on October 25, 1946 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2006.

She retired from Wal-Mart, where she worked in the snack bar and also retired from Community Action in Lincoln, where she worked as a food server.

Surviving Betty are 3 sons: Clarence Houghton, David Bruce Houghton and Roy Houghton, all of Lincoln; 2 daughters: Linda (Al) Jordan, Mountain Home, AR, Diane (Joe) Powers, Lincoln; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with Ryan Edgecomb officiating. Arrangements by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.¹
