James C. Houghton, 60 of Cottonwood, passed away on May 28, 2011. He was born on May 21, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to James Houghton and Juanita Ann Shafer.

James attended Ashfork-Williams school. He joined the Army and earned his Parachute Wings and entered the 82nd Airborne.

James belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed hunting and riding his Harley.

James is survived by sons Josh and Ben of Delta, CO; brothers Benny of Mesa, AZ and Casper of Fullerton, CA; sister Cindy McKinnis of Tulsa, OK; step sisters Virginia of AZ and Rita of Las Vegas, NV; parents Joe and Juanita Anzures and 4 grandchildren.²

MARY JULIA HOUGHTON 1925 - 2008
Mary Julia Houghton, 82, of Seattle died Jan. 17, 2008, in her home surrounded by the love and care of her husband of nearly 60 years and her three children.

Mary was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Anacortes to Mr. and Mrs. Anton Suryan. She was the oldest of three daughters.

Mary married William "Hank" Houghton of Seattle and together they raised two sons and one daughter.

Mary's activities included more than 50 years of league bowling at Leilani Lanes and golfing in Palm Desert and Phoenix, Ariz., while "snowbirding" for 20 years and gambling at the Tulalip Casino the past 10 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her sister Betty Ceder.

She is survived by husband Hank Houghton; sons William "Billy" Houghton and Randall (Janis) Houghton; daughter Kimberly (Rick) Wahlbrink; sister Virginia Wohlhueter (Forest) of Auburn, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mary's life is at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at Bleitz Funeral Home, 316 Florentia Street, Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98109.

ARANSAS PASS Joanne Houghton, of Aransas Pass, Texas, wa born May 25th in Webster, Texas and died at a Corpus Christi hospital Thursday, December 29 1994, after a twenty four year battle against liver disorder. She passeed away surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of twenty two years, Joe Houghton; and her two sons: Joel and Jason Houghton; her mother Iris Jones; her sisters: Mary Arriaga of Victoria and Karen Mollie of Brazoria; four nephews James, Ronald, John and Steven Lindley. She wil be dearly missed and wil always remain in our hearts.
