A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. The Rev. Karl Schimpf of the North Shore Congregational Church, Fox Point, will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post #659.

He is preceded in death by his father: George E; his mother: Alliette R. Houghton; and sister: Marilyn Whitton. He is survived by three loving children: Barbara, Candace and Robert. He is further survived by eight adoring grandchildren (five granddaughters and three grandsons).

Robert grew up in Manitowoc where he was a standout athlete. After graduating from high school in 1945, he went on to receive his bachelor?s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and his master?s in education from Wayne University. Robert served in the U.S. Army seeing active duty in Italy from 1945-1947. After teaching in the Greater Detroit Area School System, Robert established himself professionally in various management and human resources executive positions with Falk Corporation in Milwaukee. He retired from Falk in 1986, with over 25 years of service. Robert received local and national awards for his outstanding contributions to civic, education and charitable organizations, including serving as past president of the Milwaukee Industrial and Educational Counselors Association. Robert retired to Manitowoc to care for his elderly mother until her death in 1997.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 502 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc.

The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.

WOLLARD, MRS. AUDREY L., 64, of 4333 Tower Drive, Signal Cove, Port Richey, died Friday (Sept. 19, 1980). Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, »he came here 17 years ago from Plymouth, Mich. She was a member of the Women of the Moose 925, New Port Richey. Survivors include her husband Jimmy; a son John Matt, Baltimore, Md; a daughter Barbara DePriest, Walled Lake, Mich; her mother Florence Houghton, Plymouth; three brothers, Thomas Houghton, Port Richey, George and Robert Houghton, both of Plymouth; three sisters, Viola Fine and Hetty Kraemer, both of Port Richey, and Norma Jesse. Plymouth, and four grandchildren. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at North Funeral Home, New Port Richey, where services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday with Rev. C. Tom Bennett, First Baptist Church of New Port Richey, officiating. Burial will be at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
