Biography

My doctorate is in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana. I've done work with James Midgely, former Dean of School of Social Welfare at UC Berkeley. My focus is on international programs and policies, especially regarding the elderly, and in the development of community-based social service programs in economically developing countries. I'm a mostly retired academic and administrator, but have been a consultant to the International Labour Organization in South Eastern Europe for the past 7 years or so training government and non-government personnel. My cousin has his Ph.D. from UC Berkely in biophysics.
