PERCY HOUGHTON
WILLOW LAKE — Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Congregational Church here for Percy G Houghton, 63. Mr. Houghton, local postmaster since 1944. died in a Huron hospital Saturday.
Among his survivors is a son. Dr James B. Houghton. Sioux Falls. (Community)

Biography

They had two children. Percy worked in Pierre, SD with the Rural Credits until it closed. He later worked with the State Treasurer's Office under Frank Siewart. In the late 1930's, he moved back to Willow Lake, SD. and was the postmaster in for 22 years, up until the time of his death in 1967.¹
