Boyd Houghton
TROUP — Funeral services for Boyd Houghton, 66, of Rt. 3, Troup, are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Renfro-Falcon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Ziegler, the Rev. J.B. Blackwell and the Rev. Joe Pennington officiating. Burial will be in the New Emmaus Cemetery near New Summerfield. Mr. Houghton died Monday morning in a Tyler hospital after a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. Mr. Houghton was a member of the New Summerfield Masonic Lodge No. 680, AF&AM, and a deacon of the Emmaus Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Erma Houghton of Troup; one son, Ronnie Houghton of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Jewel Walley of New Summerfield; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Garrett, J.D. Danner, B.R. Darby Jr., Frank Habergahn, Buford Gray and Alton Lacey.

Lynn Luttrell Houghton, 79, of 401 Westland Avenue died at 8:25 a.m. Jan. 10, 1991, in Seton Medical Center in Austin.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Street Church of Christ with the Stanley Lockhart, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, directed by Robert Massie Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 8,1911, in San Angelo. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ.
He was married to Ruth Frier in June 1939 in Englewood, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Ruth F. Houghton of San Angelo; three sons, Stephen Houghton of Tulsa, Okla., Fred Houghton of Austin and Michael S. Houghton of San Angelo; one sister, Doney Belle Houghton of Austin. and two granddaughters, Christy Houghton of Tulsa and Ruth Ann Houghton of Austin.
Pallbearers will be K.J Moos, Marvin Barnes, Hebert Macklin, Bill Colby, Pat Patterson and Kennard Moos.
