My birth certificate says that my father was George E. Renslow. He was 38 in 1929 the year I was born, and he was born in Sylvan [???], Wisconsin. My mother said he was born April 29, 1891 [???]. This would agree with my birth certificate. My mother also said that he was also married to a Nina Hale [born 1900?]. They had 5 children: Nina [born 11/1916 ?], George [born?], Ned [born 2/18/1918], Fayone [born 1922] and Ernest [born 7/1925]. My father was married to Nina Hale and my mother at the same time. My mother said she became suspicious and followed my dad and found the other wife. My mother then moved into my grandmother's with me. I don't know what happened after that. She also told me that George said he was in the Navy from 1909 to 1913; however, I don't think that she believed him. Several years ago I met a lady who said she was my father's sister; her name was Flossie, and she lived in Iowa. I think this was true because she asked how my mother Nina was. I told her who my mother was, and she said that did not surprise her. My mother would not divorce my father. Finally in the early 1950s she did get a divorce, but only because my grandmother would not deed the house to her if she was still married. My parents were married in Valpraiso, Indiana, about four months before I was born. My mother died May 5, 1974. I do have a photo of my father.

Some time ago I sent you a list of siblings from a previous marriage of my father. I got this information from my mother. I just verified it from the
1930 US FEDCEN. Cook County 28 district
George Elroy Renslow wife Nina Hale. There is an additional child named Edwin [son] which brings the total to five; i.e., Nina [13], Edwin [11], George [9], Fayown [6], and Ernest [4] -- [ages in1930]
Thank You
Charles [Chuck] Renslow.
