Robert Houghton: investment banker for Manhattan firm
Robert Houghton, an investment banker and a former Yonkers resident, died Tuesday at his home in Manhattan of an apparent heart attack He was 34. Mr Houghton moved to Manhattan four years ago. He was born July 4. 1954. in the Bronx to Charles F and Eventas Large Houghton. He grew up in Yonkers, graduating from Roosevelt High School. He also graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta in 1976. Mr. Houghton received a master's degree in mathematics from Syracuse University in 1977 and a master s degree in operational research from New York University in 1979. He later received a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University. Mr. Houghton was a vice president at Goldman Sachs and Co. in Manhattan. He previously was employed by First Boston Corp. in Manhattan. In addition to his mother of Yonkers, he is survived by his brother. Charles Houghton of Harrison.
