Mrs. lzie Coleman, a resident of Ha warden for the past 26 yean, passted away at her home at 7:45 Tuesday morning, following a stroke which she
suffered last Friday. Mrs. Coleman had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services will be held at the Rots Funeral home at 2:80 Friday af-
ternoon with Rev. V. W. Bell, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. Interment will be in Grace Hill cemetery.
Izzie Houghton was born in the state of New York, February 17. 1861. She was united In marriage with Walter E. Coleman at Sibley March I3, 1882 and her entire married life was spent in the Hudson community and Hawarden. For 32 year she lived on a farm near Hudson and in 1910 she came to Hawarden. She was the last member of her family. Her husband preceded her In death eight years. She is survived by one son, Cecil Coleman of Hawarden and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Methodist church and, when her health permitted, was a faithful attendant. She took an active part in public affairs and numbered among the early pioneers who build up their community
