Vivian L. Houghton, 80, of Walnut Creek, CA died December 19, 2003. Born in Lodi, California, July 7, 1923, she was one of five children of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon F. Pope.

Following graduation from Lodi High, Vivian relocated to Sacramento, California where she met her husband of 32 years, Lowell N. Houghton. She is survived by the couple's three children, Gayl Staffler (Morgan Hill), Geri Koenig (Fremont) and Terry Houghton (San Jose), six grandchildren and her brothers Gerald L. Pope (Reno) and Paul E. Pope (Burlingame). She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Pope and sister Marie Pope.

An open invitation is extended to all who wish to join in a celebration of Vivian's life. A memorial service will be held, Sunday January 4, 2003 at 2:00 pm in the main sanctuary of the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, 1801 LaCassie Avenue, Walnut Creek, California 94596. A reception will follow in the church parlor from 3-5. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel²
