STEVENSVILLE — James J. Haughton of Stevensville died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis. He was 83.
Born on September 12,1921 in New Rochelle, New York, the son of the late Julia Dunn and James Haughton. After graduating from high school, James joined the U.S. Army during WWII where he was a staff sergeant. In 1947, he married Mary Faye. They resided in Yonkers, New York where they raised their family. James was a salesman in the food industry, catering to the restaurant business. He retired in 1985. In 1988, they relocated to Stevensville. James was a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge and the AAFG (Anne Arundel Fishing and Game). He enjoyed woodworking, cars and traveling.
In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by two sons, James Haughton and wife Laraine of Annapolis, and Timothy Haughton of Annapolis; two grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Haughton. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Haughton. Services were held on Monday, May 16, 2005 at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Chester, at 11 a.m. Interment followed in Stevensville Cemetery.

Mary Agnes Haughton of Stevensville, MD died October 10, 2015 at the Annapolitan Assisted Living. She was 90.
Born on October 14, 1924 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Faye and Mary Lyttle Faye. Mary’s family and friends knew her as “May”. She loved her family and friends and was very active in the Catholic Church. She enjoyed travelling with her husband Jim and, after his passing, with her friends from St Christopher’s Church. May is survived by her son Timothy Haughton of Arnold MD and his fiancée Beth, and her son James Haughton and his wife Laraine of Annapolis MD, her grandson Christopher Haughton and his wife Linsey and her granddaughter Heather Blick and her husband Greg. She is also survived by two great grandchildren Benjamin Haughton and Westin Haughton; and two sister in laws Eileen Faye and Flo Haughton. She was predeceased by her husband James Haughton and her brothers Robert and Thomas Faye.
A visitation will be held at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home in Chester, MD on Wednesday October 14, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A service will be held at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church on Thursday October 15, 2015 at 11:00am.
