She was born on 6 June 1888 at Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. In her 1949 retroactive birth registration, Minnie does not give Killaloe as her place of birth. She just gives the township. Killaloe is given in her obituary.6,1,7,3,8,9 Alternatively, she may have been born in June 1887 at Ontario, Canada, in the 1911 & 1921 census.10,11 MInnie married August Zummach on 30 January 1912 at Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 017599.12,13,14,15,16,17,11,9
Other information from their marriage registration:
The registration listed the following official witnesses: John Kühl and May (sic) Rüstau. I presume that John Kuhl was his cousin John, the son of August Kuhl/Kuehl and Minnie Gienow. Interestingly, August's signature shows that he wrote his surname with an S, overwritten by a Z, or vice versa. This demonstrates the fluid nature of their spelling of their surname.4

Minnie's age is give as 33, but if her birthday was Jun 6, 1888, she was actually 32 soone of the following may account for the discrepancy:
    1) the enumeration occurred on or after Jun 6th, and the enumerator did not record her age as it was on Jun 1,
    2) they recorded her aeg at her next birthday (less than a week away) rather than her last birthday
    3) shw was born in Jun 1887 as also indicated in the 1911 census.

The following information is from my personal research, 1856:
The following is extracted from White's 1856 History, Gazetteer & Directory of Lincolnshire, page 270. I have an Archive CD Books' version of this book.

LUDBOROUGH, a pleasant village, which gives name to this Wapentake, is 6 miles N. by by (sic) W. of Louth. It has a railway station, and has in its parish 372 inhabitants, and 2296 acres of land, nearly all the property of Joseph Livesey, Esq., the lord of the manor. The Church (St. Mary) has a nave with aisles, a chancel, and a tower, and contains three ornamented stone stalls. The rectory, valued in K.B. at £20. 19s 4d., and now at £388, is in the gift of Richard Thorold, Esq., and incumbency of the Rev. Augustus Gedge, B.A., who has a good rectory house. At the enclosure, 388A.2R of land was allotted in lieu of tithes. The Manor House is very ancient, but has been modernized, and is now occupied by a farmer. The Wesleyans and the Primitive and Free Methodists have small places of worship here.

Following this general description Geo. Patchett White is listed as grocer, &c. His store also served as Post Office.

An additional session, often in December, could be arranged if large numbers of convicts were to be tried.31
