Census Data

Frederick Ebel and Carilina appeared on the 1871 Canadian Census of Sebastopol Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 2 April 1871. Frederick was enumerated as a Baptist and a Farmer. As was Carolina Runtz who may have been a foster child or step-daughter.3
Caral appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Shumma and Lena Shumma.7
Carl appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Zummack and Carolina Zummack.4
Charlie appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Zummach and Lena Zummach.2
Carl appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Zummach and Minnie Zummach.6
Charles Frederick Able and Lena Risk immigrated in 1861 to Canada from Germany.2,6 Charles Frederick Able of Hagarty Twp., was the informant on the birth registration of his grandson and namesake, Charles Frederick Zummach.1
The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
The 1871 census lists him as Frederick Ebel, 1881 census lists him as Caral Abel, 1891 census lists him as Carl Abel, and 1901 census lists him as Charlie F Ebel.

Therefore, I assume that his full name was Carl (or Charles) Fredrick Ebel (Abel.)9
