Theodore L. Houghton — Funeral services for Theodore L.' Houghton, 63, of Sanger, were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. W. V, O'Kelly officiating. Burial was to be at the Lubbock Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Houghton died at 5 p.m. Monday at his residence. Born Aug. 25, 1909, in Floydada, he was married to Mildred Lucille Abbott, Oct. 7, 1934, in Lubbock. A member of the Rails Methodist Church, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ann Milliard of Sanger; two sons, Theodore Evan Houghton of Lubbock and Daniel Dee Houghton of Sanger; two sisters, Edna N. Houghton of Lubbock and Mrs. Bennie Ferryman of San . Antonio; and two grandchildren. Coker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., NM, USA, Dorothy Irwin Houghton, 75, a native of Irvington, New York and a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 1999. Following graduation from Irvington High School, Dorothy worked at the Sunnyside Federal Savings and Loan Association. Later, she served as a key administrator in two successful congressional campaigns for US Congressman Peter Peyser. In 1973, following her husband, Joe's retirement from General Motors, they moved to Rio Rancho. During her 26 years in New Mexico, Dorothy was active in the Womens Golf Association at the Rio Rancho Country Club and a dedicated volunteer with the Lovelace Women's Auxiliary. A loving mother and committed family member, she is survived by her brother and two sisters; her four children, Carol of Riverview, MI, Jay of London, England, and Robert and Jeffrey of Dallas, TX; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Monday, April 22, 1999, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with The Rev. Tim Neustifter officiating. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary.²

(The Post Standard; Syracuse, NY. August 27, 1970) Ithaca - Mrs. Leeta G. Houghton, 86, of Ganoung Road, Ithaca, RD died Wednesday at Tompkins County Hospital.
She was a former treasurer of Ithaca Savings and Loan Association where she was employed for many years. Mrs. Houghton was a past president of the Zonta Club of Ithaca and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Surviving are a son, Charles E. Houghton, of Ithaca RD 3; 2 daughters, Mrs. Virginia Houghton of Syracuse, and Mrs. Elizabeth McHale of Ithaca; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Haley, and Mrs. Lawrence Butler of Syracuse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
