I have returned my kit and await results. After 35 years of researching I have about 14 000 names in my ‘Tree” and in the near future when I have done a bit of tidying up I will export the direct Houghton line to share with you as a ged. Most of my tree is available in Genes Reunited now. My family is well documented back till late 1700’s in England however there has been some migration to Canada and Australia in the early 1900’s and later migration from Australia to Canada. Anyway my direct line Houghton goes back to early 1800 in London UK and probably to a generation earlier in Norfolk UK. The only emigration I know was my Grandfather UK to Australia in 1920’s.
He had visited USA ports as a sailor a few years earlier. There is no knowledge earlier or any suggestion of any family links to America or anywhere.
