Deceased Name: JAMES F. HOUGHTON, M.D.
JAMES F. HOUGHTON, M.D., 87, of Green Valley and Pelican Lake, Minn., and formerly of Fargo, N.D., died June 4, 2011, after a two year battle with cancer.

He is survived by Jeanne, his wife of 62 years; his children Peter (Shelly), Susan (Jim), Deborah (John), and Steven (Pam); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jim was a founding partner of Dakota Hospital in Fargo where he practiced internal medicine and cardiology for 32 years. After retirement, he was a Highway Patrol volunteer for the AZ DPS for 17 years, and most recently was a guide at the Mission at Tumacacori. He enjoyed sailing, flying, painting, astronomy, tennis and most of all his family.

The family is planning a memorial service in Green Valley in the fall.⁵
