Biography

Daughter Pamela D. Houghton: He was in WWII. He went to OCS and was a first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers and was in the occupying forces in Japan. He was called up again for the Korean War. As I am told, he didn't want to go back into service and shot himself in the leg, developing osteomyelitis. He went to law school and was a corporate attorney for Disney and MCA. As a very right wing thinker in Hollywood in those days, it wouldn't surprise me if he was a supporter of Joseph McCarthy. As you may surmise, our political views are quite different but as we met only 4 times, most information I have about him is through my mother (not his biggest fan).
