Mr. Rancier bad gone to Rochester to visit his daughter, and while there suffered a stroke last Thursday. Mr. Rancier WSB born in Port Byron, but had made his home in
Auburn for the past 20 years. The body will be brought to Auburn tomorrow by Arthur G. Morgan
funeral director.
Surviving, besides Mrs. Gaska, is another daughter, Mrs. Benjamin Verbeck of Auburn; a son, Charles A. Rancier of Auburn; a brother, William Rancier of Auburn;
three step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wilkinson of Fair Haven, Mrs. Daniel Gaska of
Rochester, and Mrs. Pearl Carmen
of Whitney Point; two stepsons,
Dell Ingraham of Norwich
and Edward Ingraham of Port
Byron; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the
home, 245 South Seward Avenue,
with Rev. Walter Tildesley of Moravia
officiating. Burial will be in
Fort Hill Cemetery.
