     She was born in 1836 or 1837 at Scotland.4,2 Alternatively, she was born on 17 February 1838 at Argyllshire, Scotland, possibly at Campbelltown based upon her baptism record, but it was when she was about 33 or circa 12 February 1839 at Scotland based upon her stated age on her gravestone.1,5 She was baptized on 10 June 1841 at Campbelltown, Argyllshire, Scotland.3 Elizabeth married Thomas Start on 20 December 1860 at Darlington Twp., Durham County, Canada West, United Province of Canada.6,5
     She died on 28 February 1883 at North Dakota, USA.1 Elizabeth Henry Maitland was buried after 28 February 1883 at Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Pembina County, North Dakota, USA.1
