     He was born on 24 May 1852 at Bristol, Pontiac County, Canada East, United Province of Canada, according to his wife's declaration on the 1945 declaration supporting his daughter, Annabella's birth date. Note that on his death registration, his son John declared that he had been born in "Ontario."2,3 George married Joanna Bunting in 1872.4
     George Steele died on 14 June 1937 at Perth Memorial Hospital, Perth, Drummond Twp., Lanark County, Ontario, Canada, at age 85 according to Ontario Death Registration 021924. He was a shoemaker by profession.2 The informant on his death registration was his son, John Steele.2
     George Steele was buried on 16 June 1937 at Elmwood Cemetery, Perth, Drummond Twp., Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.2
     He was referenced, but not by name, in the obituary of his wife Joanna Bunting who died 28 May 1957.5
     The following information is from my personal research, April 2018:
At the time of his son Henry's birth registration in 1884, George gave his occupation as a cordwainer.6

     Harry Chambers died on 31 December 1943, in a local hospital, at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 69.6,1
     
     Harry Chambers was buried on 3 January 1944 at Asquith Cemetery, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.6
     Harry Chambers of Asquith, Saskatchewan was listed as next-of-kin/contact on his son Harry's attestation (enlistment) papers.7
     Harry and Selina Chambers appeared on the 1901 British Census of England, at Leicester, Leicestershire, enumerated effective 31 Mar 1901, described as described as a worker - shoe laster/bootm(aker?) or bootm(anufaturer?). Their son, Harry, was listed as living with them.3 Harry Chambers immigrated in 1904 or 1905 to Northwest Territories (Saskatchewan), Canada, from England to homestead near Asquith.4,6

     THE DEATH OF Harry Chambers of Asquith occurred in a local hospital on December 31. Funeral will be held on January 8. at 2 p.m., from Asquith United Church, Rev. Mr. Reid officiating. Park Funeral Home win be In charge. Interment will be mada In Asquith Cemetery. Survived by his widow, Selina; a son, George; daughter, Mrs. George Cattell, all of Asquith; two sisters in the United States. The late Mr. Chambers has been a resident of Asquith for the past 88 years, being a prominent farmer of th Asquith district.6

Canadian Military Service - WWI

     Harry Chambers of Asquith began military service on 27 January 1916 at the age of 19 at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, joining the 65th Battalion and later transferring to the 72nd Battalion. He was an unmarried farmer with no military experience. He was described as being 5' 9.5" with a fair complexion, blue eyes and auburn hair. On his Attestation (enlistment) papers, he listed his next-of-kin/contact as his father, Harry Chambers of Asquith. He was assigned regimental number 472991.3
     On 28 June 1916, he arrived in England aboard the Empress of Britain and was transferred to the 65th Battalion. He embarked for France on August 12, 1916 from Bramshott Camp. He received a shell wound in his right foot on September 18, 1917. He was treated at No. 23 Casualty Clearing Station and moved to No. 2. Australian General Hospital at Wimereux. He then went to No. 1 Convalescent Depot at Boulogne, and was discharged on October 13th.3 Pte. Harry Chambers was killed in action on 29 September 1918. He died in the attack on Sancourt and Blecourt which was captured by the Canadian Corps on that day. He was serving with the 72nd Battalion, British Columbia Regiment

     Harry Chambers appeared in the 1911 Canadian Census of Saskatchewan in the household of his parents, Harry and Selina Chambers.6
     Harry appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, Saskatchewan, in the household of Harry Chambers and Selina Chambers, listed as being in the Canadian military in Canada, so he may not have been physically living in the household at this time.4

DINGWALL
     THE DEATH OF Bessie Cowan Dingwall. aged 61 years of Juniata. Sask., occurred In a local hospital on February 1, 1943. Surviving are her husband, one daughter (Ruth) Mrs. J. R. McGowan, Asquith; three sons. Malcolm in R.C.A.F., Crawford in Toronto, Ronald in the R.C. Artillery, one brother and one sister In Ontario. She came to Juniata district in 1912. Born In England and came to Canada at an early age and lived in Ontario until coming west In 1912. A private funeral service will be held on February 4, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Canon A. E. Greenhalgh of St. George’s Anglican Church officiating. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. No flowers by request.5
