Morning Bridal Unites Verna Olga Mayhew and I. F. Cuthbertson
     A wedding took place Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 11:30 a.m., in the United church, Minnedosa, when Verna Olga, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mayhew, Foxwarren, was united in marriage to Mr. Isaac F. Cuthbertson, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Cuthbertson, Foxwarren. Rev. T. A. Payne of Clanwilliam, officiated.
     The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of wine French silk chiffon velvet, with shirred front and shirred puffed sleeves. Her corsage was of Sweetheart roses. Lily of the valley and ferns. Her hat was a wide brimmed model with wine stitching.
     The bride and bridegroom were unattended.
     
Miss Christina Cuthbertson, sister of the bridegroom and Mr. Arthur Mayhew, brother of the bride, were witnesses. A wedding breakfast was served at the Tremont hotel, after which Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbertson left by motor for Kenora and International Falls. They will reside at Foxwarren.
     The bride's mother wore a black sheer redingote over black and white, and a black Breton sailor. Her corsage was of gladioli and ferns.2

     In the obituary of Verna Cuthbertson who died 28 February 1975, her husband, Isaac Cuthbertson was listed as a survivor.5

     He died on 10 August 1985 at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, at age 57 according to BC Death Registration 1985-09-013745. He was a retired graphic designer.4,5 The cause of his death was given as a possible myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure.5 The informant on his death registration was his son, Ryan McCredie.5

     She died on 23 July 1927 at Pembroke General Hospital, Pembroke, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 66 according to Ontario Death Registration 029165.9 The cause of her death was given as Myocarditis and Chronic Nephritis.9 The informant on her death registration was her daughter (Florence), Mrs. Martin Corrigan.9 Exilda Mayhew was buried on 25 July 1927 at Combermere, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.9

     Louis Mayhew and Exildans appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Raglan & Radcliffe Twps., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901. Louis was enumerated as a farmer and a Roman Catholic. Their children Fred, Joseph Desire, Willie, Maggie, Lizzie and Ned were listed as living with them. They were enumerated next to the Napoleon and Victoria Mayhew household.3
     Lewis Mayhew and Azilda appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Radcliffe Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, at Lot 4, Conc 4, enumerated 6 June 1911. Lewis was enumerated as a farmer and a Roman Catholic. Their children Alfred, Dezera, Florence, William, Maggie, Lizzie and Edward were listed as living with them. As well as their grandson, an unknown person who may have been Maggie's son.5

Exildas Gouye and Louis Mayhew appeared on the 1921 Canadian Census of Radcliffe Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 6 June 1921, enumerated as a farmer on his own farm, and a Roman Catholic. Their children Edward Mayhew and Margaret Perrier were listed as living with them. As well as their grandchildren, Mulvena Perrier.6
     Exilda Goyer was recorded as mother of the bride at the marriage of Thomas William Cochrane and Elizabeth Mayhew on 31 May 1915.10 In the death registration of Louis Mayhew who died on 20 September 1926, Exildas Gouye was incorrectly identified as his mother rather than his wife.11 The late Exilda Goyerwas recorded as the grooms's mother at the marriage of Edward Mayhew and Laura Mayhew.12,7
