My mother maid name is hooton, her father is a hooton. I'm doing some genealogy on my grandfather hooton family tree. I was able to find a Thomas hooton born 1752 in Virginia and died in 1841 Indiana, he was married twice. First wife was Susannah green (Greene)
Second wife was orender Duncan bush. Thomas hooton parents are not john hooton and Sarah wey/wye from Massachusetts. I was able to find a couple that could be Thomas possible parents from Virginia. Amos Horton and Sarah Peebles, I was wondering is Horton another name for Hooton.
