Judith Marie Houghton, Medical Lake, went to join the angels on Sept. 19, 2016 after a battle with cancer and COPD. She was born in Walla Walla on Aug. 5, 1949 to Noble and Lois Broberg. She was highly involved with the American Quarterhorse Association and the breeding of her prize stallion, Woody. This allowed her to make friends all over the world. In the last healthy years of her life she was learning the art of photography. She loved to take pictures of her beautiful family, the horses playing in the pasture and the beauty of nature. One of her favorite subjects were the Bald Eagles at Lake Couer d' Alene. She wore many hats in her lifetime from raising dogs, building saddles and doing custom paintings. Judi was preceded in death by her loving parents. She leaves behind her brother Ed Broberg, her son Shaun Houghton, her daughter Meghann Learn, her grandchildren James and Ryan Houghton and Tyson and Kylie Learn, her daughter-in-law Kellie, her son-in-law Cory and so very many people that loved her dearly. There will be a private celebration of her life with close friends and family.
