Louise Auman Haughton, 89, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999. She was a native of Jackson Springs, N.C., and had lived most of her life on the Peninsula. She was a longtime member of Denbigh Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Stanley Haughton; and a son, Robert C. Haughton.
She is survived by three sons, William E. Haughton, and his wife, Delores, of Gloucester, Douglas Haughton, and his wife, Nancy, and John Haughton, and his wife, Connie, all of Newport News; a daughter- in-law, Virgie Haughton of Milton, Fla; and 11 grandchildren, 32 greatgrandchildren and six great-great- qrandchildren.

Douglas Stanley Haughton, Sr., 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 15, 2016.
He was born on July 10, 1935, in Warwick County, Va., a son of the late William Stanley and Mary Louise Auman Haughton. Douglas was the husband of Nancy Brewin Haughton for 60 years.
Mr. Haughton was a retired Nuclear Designer. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Lebanon, where he actively served in various ministries.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Nancy Haughton Thomas of Georgia, Douglas Stanley, Jr., husband of Vivian Carol Haughton, Palmyra, Warren William, husband of Teresa Lynne Haughton, Kentucky, Allen Edward, husband of Julie Nantz Haughton, Ohio, and Mary Louise, wife of John David Baxter III, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, John, husband of Connie Haughton, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Douglas was predeceased by brothers, William and Robert Haughton.
Funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 220 S. 22nd St., Lebanon, PA 17042, Friday, August 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. with viewing from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Contributions may be made in Douglas's memory to the Mission Fund of Faith Baptist Church. The Rohland Funeral Home Inc, Lebanon, is handling the arrangements.
