FORT WORTH — Marialyce Haughton, a retired registered nurse, died Thursday at her home. She was 80. Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Haughton was born in Alba and lived in Fort Worth for most of her life. She was a nurse for Arlington public schools for 22 years before her retirement in 1975. She received nurse's training at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Fort Worth and the Order of the Eastern Star in Handley.
Her husband. Brooks Haughton, died in I960. Survivors: Daughter, Jan Brantley of Fort Worth; brother, Charles L. Nichol of Fort Worth; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Obituary

Dr. Haughton was born in Athey, Ireland. He lived in the Palm Beach area since 1924 and was a life member of the American Optometric Association. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church & a Veteran of World War I. At the time of his death two brothers, John and Malcom both of England, wife, and children David, Jean, & Patricia survived him.

Note: His only daughter was Patricia Marie Wood. He had two adopted step children, David Haughton and Jean Haughton Lee. A.C. Haughton married Doris on September 30, 1937. David was 5, Jean was 7 and Patricia was 9.

Jeanne Haughton Lee went to be with the Lord on December 7 from her home in Okeechobee. She was born in Hollywood, Fla. April 27, 1930, moving to West Palm Beach in 1937. She graduated from Palm Beach High School in the Class of 1948, attend PBJC and graduated from Indian River Community College in 1983, moving to Belle Glade, and then to Okeechobee where she resided for the last 20 years.

She leaves her husband, Clarence; two sons Shannon & Michael and daughter Mardella Parker mother Mrs. Doris Haughton brother Dr. David Haughton and sister Mrs. E. J. (Patricia) Wood all of WPB and three grandchildren.
