BiographyAubrey: After my Uncle Earl died, my Aunt lived in Florida the year around, they had been spending the summers in Westport, N.Y.. In 1955 after I got out of the Navy at Easter time, I went to Warrensburg and picked up my Mother, went to Cattaragus, N.Y. and picked up my Sister and her friend Betsy, also a teacher, and we all went to Florida. While in Florida, we looked up my Aunt in St. Pete.. She was one of my favorite Aunts, always friendly and joking. My Mother said she was rather looked down on when she and Earl married, as she was not quiet the formal type and had of all things, pierced ears. When my Mother was teaching in Glens Falls, told of taking the stagecoach to Warrensburg and visiting her Aunt and Uncle. My Mother said Aunt "Gerti", used to baby sit young Albert Emerson when he was just a baby, who grew up to be a multi- millionaire.1
