Graveside services for Mamie E. Houghton, 86, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in San Jacinto. Harford Funeral Home in Hemet is handling arrangements. She died of heart and lung failure Monday at Ramona Manor Convalescent Hospital in Hemet.

Mrs. Houghton, who was born in Galena, Kan., lived in Hemet 33 years after living in Artesia 16 years. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crafts, working crossword puzzles and gardening.

Survivors include six daughters, Shirley Hilbrands, Jean Morris and Peggy Barton, all of Hemet, Pauline Veenendaal of Ontario, Sandra Taylor of Gold Hill, Ore. and Mary Jacobs of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Blanche Orrell of Nashville, Ill. and Lucille Boyes of Galena, Kan.

The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 7130 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, 92507.³
