Marriage	John Roby and Ellen Edwardson were married ? AUG 1855 in Prescot Ref 8b 559 : This reference is probably incorrect as it leads to the marriage of an Ellen Edwardson in 1855, but not to John Roby. I am not sure where this old reference comes from. I have not been able to find any evidence of a marriage between this John Roby and Ellen Edwardson. The evidence is that the birth documentation and baptisms of their children say that the child's parents are John & Ellen Roby and that the mother's maiden name is Edwardson.

Biography	Undertakers W&D Busby Ltd of 66 Anne St Liverpool carried out the necessary business regarding the burial of John Roby. I have their original invoice. In the 1851 Census, at the age of 17 years, John is listed as an Omnibus Guard. John Roby was recorded as having been a watch maker (deceased) on his son Alfred Herbert Roby's marriage certificate.
Death	He died on 19 February 1895, at age ~59, in 72 Leopold Road, Liverpool, England, [[Principal Role]].2
	His son Fred Forster Roby died on 19 February 1895 in 72 Leopold Road, Liverpool, England.
Burial	John's remains were buried on 22 February 1895 in Grave 407 S7, West Derby Cemetery, in Liverpool, The entry in the cemetery records says that he was a 61 year old watchmaker.3
	His wife Ellen Edwardson died on 28 January 1908 in 42 West Derby Street, Liverpool, England.
