Thomas Tracy was the second son of Lt. Thomas and Mary Conway Mason-Tracy who was born at Wethersfield, Conn and married around 1675. He and his brother Jonathan settled upon the wild, reclaimed lands on the east side of the Shetucket, then belonging to Norwich, but afterwards included in Preston. He was declared freeman in 1683. In 1684 he served as a constable. He died in1724. His will was dated 1721 and proved 1724. Children: Nathaniel b. 1675 married Sarah Miner; Sarah b. 1677 married Joseph Miner (brother of Nathaniel's wife); Jeremiah b. 1682 married Mary Witter; Daniel b. 1685 died 1704; Thomas b. 1687 married Abigail; Jedidiah (who was Deacon) b. 1692 married first Margaret Rix and second Mercy Stafford Parke; Deborah and Jerusha Tracy were born twins 24 Sept 1696. His second known wife, married after Jul 1683, was Mary Foote Stoddard Goodrich Tracy, widow of John Stoddard and John Goodrich Jr, and daughter of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deming Foote.
He certainly had a wife prior to Martha, by whom Miriam Tracy (who married Thomas Waterman) was born. Identities of earlier wive(s) are not known. Martha was not the mother of any of his children.
