Samuel N. Renslow was born circa 1841 in Shelburne, Chittenden County, Vermont.

Samuel N. Renslow died when a falling timber struck him in the head in an accident at the Sheridan Mine on 12 April 1875 in Caribou, Boulder County, Colorado, at age ~34. He was buried in Columbia Cemetery, Boulder County, Colorado.

From a City of Boulfder, CO, website: He was foreman of the Sherman Mine. Samuel was 'a wanderer in many mining lands'. He left home at age 14. Buried by the Masons. (obit) Clarence Sherwood, Sam's roommate of one year, was his administrator. Sam's mother, Jurusha of Shelbourne, VT, was in need of money, 'Sam was my dependence.' Sherwood wrote to her saying he was trying to collect the $630that Sam had loaned out. 'He lost everything he had in a New Mexico ranch. He was blown up and had his hand hurt one year ago.' The estate included a flute and a Masonic pin. A lock of his hair was sent to his mother.

Irene Parrett: Eva (my Mother) and Allen were placed in a foster home. They lived with the family of James and Ella Green in English, Kentucky. I don't have anything on Allen. They went by the name of Green. Eva was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and I think Allen was also. Allen had a son, but I can't recall his name right now, and a daughter Evelyn. I don't have much information on Allen.3

Eva Foudray appeared on the census of 1900 in Poplar Plains, Fleming County, Kentucky. As of circa 1905, Eva Foudray was also known as Eva Green.3
