Jesse I. Wilcoxen, Sr., 67, farmer and pioneer resident of Ford County, died Monday evening in Murray Memorial Hospital after al long illness; b. September 18, 1880 in Hopkins, Missouri; came to Mulberry in Ford County in 1885; m. Miss Nellie Imboden of Kingsdown at Medicine Lodge, February 26, 1906; except for 10 years spent railroading in Texas, resided in Mulberry until he retired from farming in 1941 and moved to Dodge City; active member of First Methodist Church until failing health caused confinement to home; member of Masonic Lodge; 'in the dry years,' with son Jesse developed and perfected dammer which came into wide use; survivors, widow, son, two daughters Mrs. Alma Arnold and Mrs. Helen Steele, nine grandchildren, all of Ford, and brother Charles H. Wilcoxen of Dodge City, and nieces and nephews; services at Ford Methodist Church by Rev. O. Ray Cook assisted by Rev. Milton B. Holcomb; burial in Ford Cemetery.

Newspaper obit, unknown date and newspaper; copy originally from Bette Gibson, sent by Larry Wilcoxen: Mrs. Nellie Wilcoxen, age 64, died in her residence at 901 West Chestnut Street, Dodge City, Kansas; in ill health for the last year and a half; despondent about health, failing to respond to treatment; Mr. Wilcoxen died 'a year ago last March' after a long illness; Mrs. Wilcoxen 'had devotedly cared for him day and night for a long period before his death;' When found, 'A revolver was in Mrs. Wilcoxen's hand;' spent her girlhood in Kingsdown; lived 'in the Ford community' until eight years before her death when she moved to Dodge City; survivors, two daughters, Mrs. R.L. Arnold and Mrs. Dale Steele, and son J.I. Wilcoxen, Jr; services in Methodist Church at Ford; burial at Ford; mortuary Hulpieu-Swain.

Anything you want to know about Lennie Mae's children and her ancestry, I can help you with, but I know nothing about Nathan Holt's family. My grandmother who is Lennie Mae's first child is not Nathan Renslow's daughter. He was her stepfather. Lois, who I guess to you is Lois Renslow, is Lennie's daughter from her deceased husband Roy Ingram. Renslow never adopted her. When Lennie and Nathan (or Grandpa Hot as we called him) married they had more children, Brenice and Raymond. Brenice lives in Chattanooga TN, and Raymond lives in Connecticut. My mother has both their address. I'll talk to her tonight if you like.
I don't know what info you have on Lennie Mae, but I would like to know. If you want info on her, I have lots of names and dates for you.
