Clinton was born on 14 July 1875 in Bristol, Addison County, Vermont.^1,2,3 He married Martha Elizabeth Cram on 10 October 1901 in Randolph, Orange County, Vermont.^1,3 Clinton died on 11 January 1935, in Randolph, Orange County, Vermont, at age 59.^1,3 He was buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, Randolph, Orange County, Vermont.¹

Clinton La Forrest Dunham was also known as Clinton DeForest Dunham.³ After his mother's death his father could not care for his three young children. Clinton went to live with a neighbor family and his two younger siblings Blanche and Newton (Clarence) were adopted by their aunt, Jane M. Dunham.

Newton Clarence Dunham married Mary Gertrude Mongeau, daughter of Napoleon Mongeau and Louise Wilson, on 30 March 1905 in Easthampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.³

Newton Clarence Dunham married Mattie Euphemia Jones, daughter of Levi James Jones and Martha Jane Van Deusen, on 1 October 1917 in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.³

Newton Clarence Dunham died on 30 September 1942 in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, at age 60.³ He was buried in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.³

On 29 September 1888 his name was legally changed to Clarence Edward Dunham when we was adopted by his Aunt Jane M. Dunham.³ Newton Clarence Dunham was adopted on 29 September 1888.

His wife, Mary, died on 26 February 1914 of lobar pneumonia in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, at age 27, leaving him a widower.³

He was a railroad locomotive fireman in 1917.
