1354. Daniel Hart Skillman Sr. was born in 1812. He died on 24 February 1878 at the age of 66 in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. He was buried about 27 February 1878 at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. Daniel and Sarah's children's birth dates are from The Skillman-Weaver Family Bible, in possession of Mrs. John Reed Fletcher, Hopewell, N.J. Printed in an undated, typed document. No known connection Skillman to Weaver.

YAKIMA - Daniel Christian Haughton, Jr., 60, died February 27, 2012, in Yakima. He was born September 20, 1951, in Toledo, OH to Dan Haughton, Sr. and Ruth Haughton. Dan graduated from Rathdrum High School in 1969. As a teenager he spent his summers on a fishing boat in Alaska. He met Linda Gates on a blind date in February 1970, and they were married on September 26, 1970, in East Wenatchee. Once he married, he began work at House Laundry in Ephrata where his years of experience led him to Yakima where he managed Crystal Linen for over 20 years. He took some time off to spend with family and began working again in 2005 at Comprehensive Mental Health as supervisor of the property management team until present. …(Partial Obituary)

Linda May Haughton, 64, of Yakima, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at Cottage in The Meadow with her family at her side.

Linda was born October 16, 1951 in Ephrata, WA to Edward L. and Ruth E. (McNatt) Gates. She was raised and educated in Ephrata, graduating from Ephrata High School in 1970. Linda married Daniel Christian Haughton, Jr. September 26, 1970 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. After a short stay in Anchorage, Alaska, the family moved to Yakima in 1981. They raised their family in Gleed. Linda worked almost 20 years for St. Elizabeth Hospital, Providence Hospital, and retired in 2003 from Yakima Regional Medical Center.

Linda especially loved and enjoyed being with family. She looked forward to the annual family camping trips to Kalaloch Beach on the Peninsula in Washington State. She also enjoyed photography and genealogy, but her family was most important to her.

Survivors include her children, Lauralee& Gary Jimenez and Dan & Joy Haughton, III of Yakima, seven grandchildren, Zoe, Tia & Nya Jimenez, Ellya Carhuaz, Ashton, Grace & Cash Haughton; one great-granddaughter, Laila Moore-Jimenez, son-in-law Lamin Cham of New York, best friend and cousin Claudia Fix of Gold Bar, WA and a sister, Jeannie Jesseph of Spokane. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan Haughton on February 27, 2012, daughter Christina Cham and brother Edward George Gates.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 705 S. 38th Avenue, Yakima. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Cottage in The Meadow, c/o Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936.
