Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, USA, HOUGHTON John Paul Houghton, 47, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 4, 2012. John was born in Weirton, WV on August 12, 1964 to Janet and Frank Houghton. John graduated from Brooke High School in 1982 and furthered his education at The Ohio State University and Capital University. John was a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Ohio Society of Public Accountants. John met the love of his life in 1993 and they were married June 3, 1995. For 17 years they loved one another through each day and every trial that came their way. John was a partner at the accounting firm of Levin & Houghton. John will be sadly missed by his wife, Renna (Hatfield) Houghton; father, Frank Houghton; mother, Janet Houghton; brother, Frank Houghton Jr. (Marcie); sister, Dianna (David) Strader; niece, Amanda (Dustin Fisher) Strader; nephews, Brandon Strader, Kevin Houghton, Kyle King; and many other loving family members and friends. John enjoyed playing football during high school and spent over 20 years playing softball with the "Boneheads." Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A Life Remembrance Service will be conducted by Pastor Kevin Meyers and Pastor Malcolm Schoener at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Obetz Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
