Hackensack, NJ, USA, DONALD HOUGHTON, WAS ACCOUNTANT Rites Scheduled For Tomorrow At Sacred Heart (hurch Rochclle Park Donald E. IIouKhton of 64 Madison Avenue, an accountant and resident here 9 years, died Sunday at Hackensack Hospital after a long illness. He was 50. Mr. Houghton was associated with tho E. T. Boyle, accounting firm in Hackensack. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Saddle Brook before coming here in 1954. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart It. C. Church and a member of the Holy Name Society of that church. Mr. Houghton was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, of the Franciscan Family Circle, and of tho Sacred Heart Council 2842, Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife Lillian; a daughter, Sister M. Kevin, O. F. Cap; three sons, the Rev. Giles K. Houghton. O. F. M.. of Holy Name College, Washington. D. C; Richard H., of Rutherford; and Walter J.. of Saddle River; two grandchildren: his mother Mrs. John E. Houghton of Brooklyn, N. Y; a sister, Mrs. Emma Wolpiuk of Cambria Heights, N. Y; and two brothers Norman, of Brooklyn, N. Y. and John of Rutherford. A solemn requiem mass will be offered at Sacred Heart R. C. Church at 11 A. M., tomorrow. Interment will follow In St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ilackensack. The family will receive friends at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Fairview Avenue, Paramus between 2 and 4 P. M. and 7 to 10 P. M. today.

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Elvah F. Houghton passed on in her 92nd year, on September 25, 2001 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was the daughter of the late Clinton and Laura French of Amsterdam, NY. She attended public school in Amsterdam and later Syracuse, NY, graduating from Central High School as valedictorian of her class in 1928, after which she attended secretarial school. In 1931 she married her husband of 49 years, the late Alfred T. Houghton. She resided with her family in Holland, Red Creek, Slingerlands and New Baltimore, NY. In 1981 after the death of her husband, she moved to Embury Apartments in Saratoga Springs. She was a homemaker and much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The strong devotion to her church and dedication to the many friends she had gave her much satisfaction throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Houghton Ingraham and her husband, Hon. Irad S. Ingraham of Voorheesville, NY; and her son, Bruce A. Houghton and his wife, Cheryl A. Houghton of Voorheesville, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, John Ingraham of Denver, CO, Richard Ingraham of Cromwell, CT, Laurel Ann Welch of East Greenbush, Kristin Houghton of Cohoes and Theodore Houghton of Glenmont. Also surviving are four great-granddaughters and several relatives in Ontario, Canada. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Wesley Health Care Center, 131 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Elvah's memory may contribute to the Embury Memorial Fund, 133 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.²
