SHIRLEY M. (BIANCHI) HOUGHTON, 77 MAUMEE, Ohio - Shirley M. (Bianchi) Houghton, 77, of Maumee passed away Jan. 8, 2010, at home surrounded by her loving family. She made her journey to heaven after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was born in Rockford and graduated from Muldoon High School. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, gardening and walking with her friends as well as traveling both home and abroad. She is survived by her children, Marcia (Dan Heath) Houghton, Sharon (John) Morrin, Brian (Peggy) Houghton and Jennifer (Brian) Maughan; grandchildren, Gabrielle, John Robert, Clint, Cole, Andrew and Allison; great-granddaughter, Sydney; and sister-in-law, Beverly Bianchi of Belvidere. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, Guidino and Adeline Bianchi; and brother, Bob Bianchi. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to donate to the American Cancer Society.¹
