Harry Houghton Dies Suddenly at His Home Near Westfield Yesterday Morning

Harry Houghton, a resident of this city about two years ago, died suddenly at his home four miles south of Westfield yesterday morning of heart disease. While he had not been feeling well for several weeks, he had not been in bed at any time and the announcement of his death here came as a surprise and a shock.

Harry was the son of Bazil and Elizabeth Houghton and was 26 years old. He had three brothers, Harper, Luther and Alvin and four sisters, Edna, Maud Ozieta and Flossie, all of whom with his parents are living. A few years ago when oil was discovered in the west part of the county, Harry with part of the family moved to this city and lived here over a year in that time making many friends. He became a member of Marshall Lodge No. 133 A.F. and A. Masons, being here about three weeks ago to take his final degrees. At the time he seemed in his usual good health and spirits. He came here at that time from Texas where he owned considerable property.

The funeral will take place at his late residence Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and the lodge which he recently joined will have charge of the obsequies. Burial in the Rupp cemetery one and one half miles north of Martinsville.
