Obituary in the Paris (TX) News:

DEPORT - - Last rites for Arthur Lee Campbell, nearly 84, who died Sunday in Lubbock, were arranged for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church west of Deport. The Rev. C. G. Renfro of Blossom had charge, Grant Funeral Home making burial in Highland Cemetery. Named bearers were Doug Alsobrook, Raymond Hignight, Delbert Norman, Dick Burden, Bill Philley and Floyd Chesshir.
Son of Jimmy and Idora (Haughton) Campbell, Arthur Campbell was born north of Deport, Oct. 28, 1878. He was a longtime resident here, with farming interests and served as cotton weigher. He moved to West Texas for his health, his death occurring in a Lubbock convalescents home.
His wife died in January, 1952.

He liked to let all the children, grandchildren and other relatives congregate at the family farm, providing for all who needed his help.

Her favorite place was in the kitchen. She loved cooking for her large family, and was always ready to invote guests for meals. Frequently invited the preacher for Sunday dinner after church at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Deport, TX. A sweet, gentle woman.

"THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 24 Jan 1952 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'Deport - - Mrs. Arthur Campbell, 71, died at home here Monday at 12:30 p.m. She had been in failing health several years. Formerly Miss Maggie Ophelia Westbrook, daughter of the late J. E. and Maggie Harmon Westbrook, she was born here Nov. 15, 1880. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church near here. The pastor, Rev. Don Dillow, officiated, assisted by Rev. C. G. Renfro, Baptist pastor here. Nephews were pallbearers with interment in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Campbell leaves her husband and these children: Les Campbell and Harley Campbell, Lamesa; Lowell Campbell, Deport; Ralph Campbell and Mrs. Raymond Chalker, Lubbock and Mrs. Clay Guest, Levelland; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a brother, Tom Westbrook, Deport.' *Tombstone is inscribed, 'Maggie O. Arlyne V. Myers, 89, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Golden Living Center. Born August 7, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Atle and Rose (Rothfus) Houghton. Arlyne is preceded in death by her late husband, James W. Myers.

Arlyne is survived by her sister, Rosemary Stone of Lancaster, and her niece and nephew.¹
