Robert J. Houghton, 91, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday, June 13th with his family by his side. He is a WWII Army Veteran and J was a building supervisor for Hayner-Hoyt for over 20 years. Robert loved spending time with his family at the camps in Jamesville and Alexandria Bay. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Barbara (Tuzio); Four children; Howard (Kathy) Houghton, Donna Greene, Gary (Mary) Houghton and Steven (Darlene) Houghton; 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 18th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Hope, Salina Street, Syracuse with burial to follow in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.

Services for Erol V. Houghton of 181 Shotwell Pk. will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Welter Funeral Home, the Rev. Halsey M. Cook, rector of Calvary Episcopal Church, officiating. He died yesterday at his home after an illness of about five months. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. A native of Morrisville, Mr. Houghton had been employed as an electrician by the Continental Can Co. 35 years. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen R. Houghton; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Samuels of New Hartford, and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
