Biography

Carpenter, house builder. Farmed in early years in the United States. Came to America when he was 17. First went to Illinois. Moved to Iowa on a freight train with four families that settled on farms in the area. He had so many calls to build that he eventually traded equity in the farm for two houses in town and a lot in Elkhart, Iowa. He had a team run away from him in the
winter time and he froze his ears and lost most of his hearing as a result. He always worked for somebody else. When he became a citizen he was an American and put away in Swedish language. Lived at 415 Cedar Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa.¹
